Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Back End Engineer, Product Software Engineer, Java/Software Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Back End Engineer, Product Software Engineer, Java/Software Developer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Tasks automation using Bash and PowerShell; Deploying Microservices using Java, Spring framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data; Reactive programming concepts and Spring WebFlux for building reactive applications; Node.js and Python for server-side and scripting tasks; Using Typescript and JavaScript for batch job and Lambda function development; SOAP services development; Designing and implementing REST and SOAP web services; Data formats and management using JSON and XML; Software development methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid SDLC; CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins; Building and deployment tools using Maven, Gradle, and npm; Managing databases using Cassandra, MongoDB, and Oracle; SQL; Data architecture disciplines; Apache Tomcat; Cloud services including AWS Cloud Services, Lambda, EKS, S3, and AWS MSK; Kubernetes and Apache Zookeeper; Infrastructure management using Terraform and Scaffold; Using Docker for containerization and application deployment; Shell scripting with Bash for automation tasks; Monitoring and logging tools including Dynatrace, New Relic, and Splunk; Version control with GIT; Automated testing methodologies in behavior-driven development using Cucumber; Regression and smoke testing and performance testing using JMeter; System integration and unit testing using Junit4 for Java and Jest for NodeJS; Using SonarQube for static code analysis and code quality management; API management using Apigee; Using Control-M for batch job management; Security and compliance tools using Veracode and Webinspect; Blackduck and Aquasec Scan; Managing and maintaining large-scale Artifactory instances; Using Akamai for content delivery network (CDN) services and web performance optimization.
