As an Associate in the Tax Operations Team within Payment Operations, you support the firm’s global tax compliance and reporting for staff expenses. You work closely with colleagues across regions and business lines to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting. You help drive process improvements and contribute to new initiatives, making a real impact on our operations. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills and collaborate with a variety of teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver tax reporting and analysis for global staff expense regulatory requirements
- Supervise and support junior team members as needed
- Prepare data for employment tax reporting and payroll cycles, meeting strict deadlines
- Collaborate with local teams, regional tax leads, and product teams to ensure compliance
- Provide ad hoc analysis and insights for key stakeholders to support regulatory changes
- Monitor and reconcile payment data, identifying and resolving issues with tax impact
- Participate in projects to implement new tax rules and regulations
- Recommend and support improvements to the expense reporting process and user experience
- Escalate and resolve issues promptly, taking ownership through to resolution
- Operate with a control focus, highlighting risks and presenting mitigation options
- Cross-train and participate in other tax reporting activities as required
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Extensive experience in tax or finance
- Degree or significant equivalent work experience
- Functional understanding of indirect and employment taxes
- Knowledge of accounting and general ledger expenses
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage and organize large data sets effectively
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience with SharePoint
- Experience with Alteryx
- Experience working with Concur Travel and Entertainment expense reporting
- Experience supporting payroll and HR teams
- Experience in a global or multi-regional environment
- Experience in process improvement or user experience projects
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
