Join our dynamic team as a Division Director at Chase Home Lending, where your expertise in home lending products will shine. You’ll have a unique opportunity to lead Senior Lending Managers and Lending Managers and make a significant business impact. You'll drive Home Lending strategies, manage P/L, and influence business investments while leading and developing Lending Managers and Advisors, fostering partnerships, and recruiting top talent.

As a Division Director in Chase Home Lending, you will be accountable for Home Lending results in entire assigned Banking Division and for delivering results that meet or exceed financial and regulatory requirements as well as our JPMC mission to be the “bank for all and serve all communities.” This is a strategic leadership role that influences policies and sales practices that are consistently applied across the entire Home Lending sales organization and focuses on Market Expansion strategy and goals. The leader will be responsible for developing and executing long-term and short-term Divisional growth strategies, taking into consideration branch footprint and formats, marketing, community engagement, and customer / competitive dynamics.

Job responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Drive strategic vision; understand direction of the business and industry, articulate vision to motivate and influence others; translate enterprise strategy into divisional priorities
    • Focus on identifying and developing new opportunities within the market; engage in community outreach and networking to build brand awareness and establish presence and implement creative strategies to attract new clients, catering product offerings to the specific needs of the growing market
    • Mitigate regulatory and reputational risk for the firm; establish controls to safeguard our customers and business at all times; ensure adherence to key policies and procedures, and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure sustainable growth
    • Make decisions and lead through complex and sensitive issues; be prepared to adapt strategies quickly in response to changing market conditions
  • Partnership and Collaboration:
    • Lead and be responsible for consistent communication with CCB Division Directors (OC-3) – single point of contact for Division
    • Lead Divisional OneChase partnerships and forums to drive collaboration and deepening of client relationships across LOBs
    • Partner and collaborate with functional leaders within HL (Product, Sales Optimization, Fulfillment, Finance, HR) to develop and align strategies, ensure execution discipline and deliver balanced scorecard results.
  • Execution and Measurement:
    • Contribute to the P&L through staffing and productivity and expense management
    • Represents all Home Lending products and deliver a balanced scorecard of results at scale in assigned Bank Divisions
    • Drive disciplined execution across the division by linking strategies to daily activities that align with our OKRs; monitor divisional OKRs tied to growth, profitability and client satisfaction; ensure disciplined execution through scorecard reviews, data-driven insights and accountability
    • Create discipline around core business management practices such as conducting regular business reviews within divisions and with OneChase partners
  • Team Leadership – Culture Carrier & Talent Development:
    • Lead a team of SLM(s) and LMs that deliver value aligned with One Chase objectives
    • Serve as a visible culture carrier - model One Chase behaviors, ensure compliance and risk discipline, and champion JPM reputation in local markets; foster a culture of collaboration and shared accountability across all HL
    • Build a high-performing diverse leadership team by developing SLMs/LMs and HLA talent; ensure succession readiness and career pathing aligned with JPM priorities
    • Focus on effective recruiting: source and attract internal and external talent; invest in training/development to build a skilled team

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills, working across all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mortgage sales and banking.
  • Prior roles/experience in consumer/retail management.
  • 7+ years of management experience, including leading large sales teams of senior managers.
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal and State regulatory policies.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experienced culture carrier and people leader with a track record of building high-performing, engaged, and diverse teams focused on both results and methods.
  • Proven strategic leadership to attract top talent and collaborate across a matrixed team to expand customer base and market share with focus on controllables; demonstrated ability to build and maintain cross-LOB/firm relationships.
  • Proficient in PC skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to perform well under stress.
