Are you passionate about leading strategic initiatives that transform data management and governance? Join our Strategy and Execution team to help define and execute the CDO vision, enabling Lines of Businesses and Corporate Functions to achieve AI-ready data and manage data risk effectively. You will play a critical role in modernizing the Firm’s data practices and meeting regulatory commitments.
As a Vice President-Strategic Program Manager in the Firmwide CDO Strategy and Execution team, you will drive change by delivering new and enhanced products, solutions, operating models, and processes aligned to data across the Firm. You will coordinate and oversee strategic initiatives throughout their lifecycle, from initiation to completion, including program planning, requirements analysis, coordination with Product and Technology teams, and managing execution and go-live phases.
Job responsibilities
- Lead strategic change initiatives in partnership with Product, Technology, Lines of Businesses, and Corporate Functions.
- Gather, synthesize, and prioritize requirements from Lines of Businesses, Corporate Functions, and firmwide stakeholders.
- Partner with Product and Technology to design solutions and define the product roadmap and deliverables.
- Support the development of business cases for strategic programs to acquire necessary funding.
- Provide governance and oversight of the strategic program, ensuring stakeholder engagement and alignment, and delivering status updates.
- Identify potential roadblocks or emerging risks and escalate as needed.
- Establish and drive PMO capabilities for large programs, ensuring effective governance, reporting, and stakeholder management.
- Develop and implement standardized project management processes, tools, and templates for consistency and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program reporting and metrics, communicating progress and performance to senior executives.
- Coach other team members and contribute to the wider group’s objectives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Proven experience leading programs that drive strategic or transformational change through new capabilities, products, or solutions in large, complex organizations.
- Expertise in program governance, project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), and enterprise tooling for planning, execution, and tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to manage tight timelines and multiple deliverables under pressure.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with a proven ability to drive alignment across multiple stakeholders.
- Skilled in management and status reporting, delivering clear actionable messages to leadership.
- Adept at navigating ambiguity and identifying process improvement opportunities to strengthen execution and team effectiveness.
- Pro-active self-starter with ability to solve diverse problems and cross-functional challenges.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and other project management tools.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Management, or other related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience working in a data & analytics focused organization, with solid understanding of data & analytics processes, data governance practices, and related functions.
- Familiarity with data lineage, classification, and lifecycle management concepts.
- Solid technical understanding of data management, governance, big data platforms, and data architecture.
- Familiarity with program management and collaboration tools (e.g., Monday.com).
- MBA and/or advanced degree from a top-tier program.
