An opportunity is available to join the team in the capacity of Associate located in the Philippines as a Subsidiary Banker.
As a subsidiary banker within the Global Corporate Banking APAC Team, you will be part of a team servicing the cash management needs of existing clients; helping to manage on-boarding & ramping of business mandates from clients; and working in close partnership with in country Subsidiary Bankers, International Product Specialists, Headquarter Bankers, Payment Partners, and other Product Specialists to identify and support the broader banking needs of the subsidiary banking clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Client coverage of a defined portfolio of names.
- Maintain accurate tracking and progression through diligent pipeline management of their own portfolio.
- Partner with Client Service Teams and own the escalation, tracking and remediation of issues that impact the client.
- Review and KYC record renewals and provide accurate summary to the in country subsidiary bankers.
- Execute on the regional Hub client strategy for uncovering future opportunities alongside providing robust relationship coverage of clients where we hold their entire APAC wallet.
- Key contact and escalation point for all portfolio matters.
- Thorough understanding of Know Your Customer responsibilities, importance and requirements, and the ability to apply these principles to entire portfolio of assigned clients.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or other relevant fields.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Treasury Services sales, corporate relationship management, or portfolio management.
- Broad commercial banking product knowledge and/or experience, such as cash management, transactional foreign exchange, overdrafts and traditional trade products etc. Knowledge of treasury services products a clear advantage.
- Excellent communication skills with strong teamwork ability.
- Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving, time management and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to details and able to multi-task and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
- Demonstrated, consistent professional presence with the ability to adapt to evolving needs and situations.
- Liaise with client / Headquarter Bankers, in country bankers & TMOs to resolve issues.
- Coverage support to clients & internal coordination; design / produce detailed relationship review and analysis, and monitor portfolio profitability and Ramp.
- Through disciplined pipeline management, discover new revenue streams and ensure the highest standard of client requirements are being met.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- MBA Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting &/or Economics
- CFA or CPA
- Background in client service or client facing roles
