As a Payment Lifecycle Specialist IV within Payments Operations, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely transfer of funds across various products and clients. You will process payments, perform investigations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold compliance, mitigate risk, and drive process improvements. Your contributions will help maintain our reputation for secure and efficient financial operations.
Job responsibilities
- Execute high-volume payment processing tasks, validating global currency fund transfers for accuracy and timeliness.
- Process payments for cash, trade, merchant, or commercial card transactions, including customer account verification and sanctions screening.
- Identify, resolve, or escalate procedural issues or operational errors, ensuring compliance with risk standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-locational teams and clients to achieve team objectives and drive positive outcomes.
- Detect and escalate potential fraudulent threats to prevent financial and reputational damage.
- Contribute to process optimization initiatives, identifying inefficiencies and enhancing the customer experience.
- Coach, train, and mentor team members to uphold high standards of productivity, quality, and service.
- Interface with other operations departments to research and resolve inquiries, including escalated matters.
- Apply innovation, market product knowledge, and artificial intelligence to optimize payment lifecycle processes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Intermediate knowledge of global payment processing operations, including standard operating procedures and customer-specific instructions.
- Strong task execution and time management skills to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.
- Proven decision-making and problem-solving abilities, utilizing critical and analytical thinking in moderately complex situations.
- Proficiency in data analysis techniques, with the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence, with a growth mindset and personal resiliency.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
- Intermediate computer, software, and technical skills, including alpha/numeric data entry and typing.
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity controls and anti-fraud strategies to help identify and address potential threats.

- Knowledge of ISO or SWIFT message processing or management.
