Join as the Head of Testing for Consumer and Community Banking and help to ensure regulatory adherence while playing a pivotal role in shaping the operations of the organization. The firmwide Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE) is a cornerstone of our commitment to maintaining a robust risk and control environment. Through compliance and control testing, the TCOE partners with Risk Management, Compliance, Operational Risk, and Control Management to deliver actionable insights and promote continuous improvement. By uniting regulatory, process, and control expertise globally, the Center of Excellence fosters best practices, develops innovative tools, and advances the Firm’s risk and control framework.
As the Head of Testing within Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), you will lead a global team responsible for executing a variety of testing techniques focused on regulatory adherence, process reviews, and control evaluation. Reporting to the Global Head of the Testing CoE, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the operational effectiveness and risk culture of the organization.
Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders across all lines of defense to align testing strategies with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Promote operational excellence by establishing efficient processes, managing resources, and ensuring high-quality delivery of testing results.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top risk and control talent; provide coaching, mentorship, and clear direction to a geographically diverse team.
- Guide the team in risk-based control testing, substantive reviews, and evaluation of control design and performance.
- Define assessment approaches and strategies to address complex regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance through robust testing outcomes.
- Work closely with other business testing leads to ensure consistency, share best practices, and identify integration opportunities.
- Lead and participate in CoE improvement initiatives as the organization evolves and matures.
- Oversee budget and headcount to support efficient and effective team operations.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 15+ years of experience in risk management, audit, compliance, or related fields, with a strong understanding of industry standards.
- Deep expertise in the Consumer and Community Banking industry.
- Proven track record of managing compliance, risk, and controls at a senior level across multiple regions.
- Demonstrated operational mindset with experience optimizing processes and driving results.
- Strong leadership skills, including experience leading geographically diverse teams and developing talent.
- Advanced stakeholder management and ability to influence at the senior executive level.
- Analytical skills with expertise in working with large data sets to inform decision-making.
- In-depth knowledge of risk management frameworks, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ability to set clear direction, manage competing priorities, and drive targeted execution.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in audit or compliance.
- Proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, Python).
- Relevant risk or compliance certifications (e.g., CCEP, CRCM, CRCMP).
