As an Associate in Instrument Reference Data Operations within Securities Services and Markets, you will manage subscriber requests for instrument creation, amendments, and data quality exceptions. You will analyze data trends to enhance data quality rules and collaborate with data analysts to ensure effective service delivery. Your role is pivotal in maintaining a strong control framework and supporting a global operating model for reference data management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day requests and reports for instrument reference data creation and amendments.
  • Ensure the global operating model effectively services instrument requirements, with a focus on Securities Services and Markets.
  • Analyze data using various tools to enhance data quality across critical reference data parameters for multiple asset classes.
  • Collaborate with teams responsible for creation, maintenance, and exception management of instrument reference data on core platforms.
  • Implement and enforce controls to reduce financial risks and ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Contribute to ongoing development and refinement of the instrument control process.
  • Support ad-hoc project work and product releases as required.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Degree in Finance or Technology, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Financial Services, including exposure to Instrument Reference Data.
  • Strong market data vendor knowledge, such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv, and experience in data quality initiatives.
  • Proficiency in advanced MS Excel functions, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work in the EMEA time zone.

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Understanding of databases, data models, and data structures.
  • Working knowledge of dashboard tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Familiarity with data languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
  • Experience with data management tools including Denodo, Talend, or Alteryx, and MS Power Suite applications.
