Job Title: Vice President, Asia Pacific Finance Regulatory System Project Business Analyst

Overview: Are you seeking a unique opportunity to enhance your project management and business analytical skills while supporting strategic regulatory programs? Join our Asia Finance Regulatory Reporting Projects team, part of the CIB Global Program Management team. We collaborate with APAC Senior Financial Officers, Legal Entity Controllers, and Corporate Technology teams to implement strategic reporting platforms for local regulatory reporting. We also address local regulatory changes, business expansion demands, GL optimization, technology modernization, and global data alignment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Finance users, Technology, and external vendors to deliver innovative regulatory reporting solutions, including process re-engineering.
  • Serve as product owner, define product vision and prioritize product requirements with stakeholders, ensuring the regulatory product meets customer needs and achieves business objectives.
  • Prepare comprehensive Statements of Work, detailing objectives, scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, priorities, governance models. Engage in quarterly BOW and sprint plan. Participate in daily standup, refinement, retrospective and design/build discussions with scrum master and technology team.
  • Manage project plans, communicate effectively with stakeholders, chair governance calls, and provide updates at Project Working Group and Steerco Committee meetings.
  • Lead business analysis efforts, including gathering and defining business requirements (using JIRA), ensuring a clear roadmap for project success. Conduct product validation/proof of concept, system Integration testing, and develop testing approaches, scopes, and plans.
  • Oversee ongoing tactical and strategic enhancements and automation of finance platforms.
  • Provide leadership to onshore or offshore teams throughout the project lifecycle, setting clear direction, driving performance, and fostering team development.
  • Gain exposure to the regulatory banking and security regime in Asia, cultivating a process improvement mindset, expand knowledge of SAP general ledger and product systems integration with BASEL/LRR, and develop project management and agile implementation skills.
  • Enhance leadership, influencing, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and relationship management capabilities.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Finance, or Business Data Analytics
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in financial institution with business/data analysis or product management
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and develop onshore and offshore business analysts
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret large data sets and present findings concisely
  • Self-motivated, able to thrive in fast-paced environments, with strong time management and planning abilities
  • Solid understanding of database and databricks design
  • Positive attitude and collaborative nature, with a track record of delivering on high-priority, time-sensitive initiatives
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate complex issues clearly
  • Inquisitive, solution-focused, enthusiastic, diligent, and willing to challenge the status quo
  • Familiarity with industry-leading regulatory reporting applications (e.g., Nasdaq (Axiom), WKFS, Reveleus).
  • Proficiency in Confluence, Jira, Tableau, Alteryx. UiPath, SQL, Excel macro or digital accelerator tools
  • Experience in finance local regulatory reporting, last mile reporting automation & implementation

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven project management experience, preferably in Finance Regulatory Reporting Solutions implementation, with successful execution of medium/large-scale/multi-region projects
