Job summary
As a Software Engineer III at JP Morgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, you will design and deliver trusted technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Job responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develop, test, and debug automated tasks for applications, systems, and infrastructure
- Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate post-mortems, and fix production defects
- Work with development teams throughout the software life cycle to ensure sustainable software releases
- Perform analytics on incidents and usage patterns to predict issues and take proactive actions
- Build and drive adoption of self-healing and resiliency patterns
- Lead and participate in performance tests to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Strong development skills in Java or Python
- Experience with the Spring framework, including Spring Boot and microservice architecture
- Experience with data storage solutions such as SQL, NoSQL databases, data lakes, Databricks, and S3
- Experience managing applications in AWS and Kubernetes environments
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as Kibana, Splunk, Elastic Search, Dynatrace, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Datadog
- Experience with CI/CD processes using tools like Jenkins and Spinnaker
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Ability to deploy, scale, and manage machine learning models in production environments
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving issues in ML pipelines and production systems
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders
- Relevant certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS, DevOps, Kubernetes, or Databricks
