As a Product Vice President in Card Data Product, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers and partners. As a leader on the team, you leverage capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead the user experience, design and build out of an Analytics environment for a new strategic partner for Card and enable scale for the business. The environment will provide users with robust querying and modelling capabilities to ensure high performance and scale. The scope covers the build out of the platform from a user journey perspective across internal and external personas to have access to their data products, reporting, key metrics and visualization, and ML / AI modelling capabilities. The role presents the opportunity to build a scalable environment that enables other partners in the future.
Job Responsibilities
- Define the product roadmap, vision, development, execution and risk management and effectively communicate the business outcomes the roadmap is intended to facilitate
- Coaches and mentors the Platform team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods. Helps uplift the team to develop a product mindset to help tell a story of the importance of data, the ML/AI capabilities and how drives business outcomes and enhancing our customers experience
- Partner with data owners, engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant data product solutions and generative AI solutions.
- Analyze data, extract actionable insights, and connect findings to business strategy, highlighting the importance of data quality and centralized data management in a data lake.
- Translates business requirements into clear technical specifications and user stories for development teams
- Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
- Lead modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy systems to cloud-native architectures such as AWS and Data Lake.
- Develops a strong partnership with Stakeholders; communicating product updates, influencing the importance of data to the organization, progress and strategy to stakeholders; including executives and customers.
- Design API-first product , data governance, and real-time data processing.
- Demonstrate success in delivering enterprise-scale data products with measurable business outcomes.
- Demonstrate hands-on exposure to tools such as Snowflake and can dive into the detail
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
- Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design and data analytics
- Demonstrate ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition and value management
- Experience in driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
- Structured thinker and effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with different data environments such as AWS S3, Snowflake and Data Bricks
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience with them
- Technical knowledge of data engineering, data pipelines, data modeling and data architecture
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Recognized thought leader within a related field
- High proficient in data querying with languages as Python, R, Perl, SQL
- Experience in product development
