As a Senior Product Associate in the Small and Mid-sized Business Payments team, you are an integral part of the team that leads the end-to-end product life cycle for payments products that deliver value for small business customers. Leverage your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and improvement of existing offerings. You will manage backlogs, write epics and user stories, and collaborate with product and engineering partners across the payments organization to ensure the successful development and implementation of payment solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery – less priority
  • Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications and impact across the system of new product features on the overall product experience
  • Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development, in coordination with the Product Manager, UX /CX designers, architects and engineering partners
  • Collaborate with Agility Leads/scrum master to run successful Release Planning and Sprint Planning sessions, as well as Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives
  • Conduct pre-release reviews and support the QA function including regression testing and use case coverage. Participate in production ready go/no-go release decision and Production validation testing.
  • Work closely with Product Manager, developers, operations, and production support teams to research and resolve issues or defects that impact the customer experience

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in Agile product management, business analysis, or a relevant experience area
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in the product development life cycle, including discovery, requirements definition, writing stories with clearly defining the “definition of done”, listing use cases with clear acceptance criteria and related technical details as needed
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) for engaging with business and technical stakeholders and leadership
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to analyze complex business processes
  • Understanding of development processes, application integration, database usage, and AWS microservices (e.g., Kafka, APIs)
  • Proficient with JIRA, Microsoft Office tools, and Confluence
