As a Senior Product Associate within the Customer Acquisition & Marketing Platforms team, you will play a key role in leading our development teams in product backlog definition and refinement, influencing how the team solves problems, and delivering the right solutions with an Agile mindset focused on customer centric outcomes.

Job responsibilities
  • Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery
  • Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience
  • Leverages knowledge around kafka events, its capabilities and opportunities to define innovative solution to deliver outcomes that promotes self-service and automation
  • Maintains a deep understanding of kafka event based architecture, its features and its ecosystem in the Account opening context
  • Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle
  • Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
  • Communicate effectively and frequently by being vocal and sharing the product vision with the teams and articulate the questions and answers needed to build the right features
  • Be a center for knowledge and take your deep curiosity about the digital experience space and a desire to connect that curiosity and knowledge to the teams that can effect change
  • Be a Technical and Customer Problem Solver by asking questions and defining the problem and where our event store and lifecycle management sits in the account opening ecosystem. Understand the technologies and approaches in use and those we should be using to drive our objectives for these technical products
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle and expertise in agile methodologies
  • Working experience & deep understanding of subjects like kafka topics, schemas, topics, metadata and lifecycle management using events
  • Experience in tools like schema registry, kafka streams, event driven architecture and ecosystem tools
  • Experience (leading) in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
  • Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy
  • Knowledge of web page development, troubleshooting, and service interaction
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Understanding of Kafka / event based architecture concepts, working experience a major plus
  • Product management, problem solving, platform products
  • Software development experience a plus (front end technologies: JavaScript, Angular, React, etc.)
  • Data management capabilities and experience with tools like Splunk and Adobe Analytics
