As a Business UAT Analyst in Home Lending, you lead user acceptance testing that ensures our default and servicing systems deliver reliable, accessible, and high‑quality outcomes. You partner with product owners, technology teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into testable scenarios, validate solutions, and drive defect resolution. Together, we plan, prepare, and execute testing; analyze production issues; and implement improvements that enhance performance and customer experience. You will help us uphold audit-ready standards while promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Job responsibilities
- Lead test planning and design test scripts from specifications and user stories.
- Prepare test data and ensure test environment readiness prior to execution.
- Execute user acceptance testing scripts and manage defects through closure.
- Coordinate testing activities with business partners and technology teams.
- Serve as a liaison across product, technology, and Home Lending stakeholders to facilitate system changes.
- Conduct due diligence and requirements-gathering sessions to inform test coverage.
- Triage, research, and analyze production incidents; drive root cause analysis and remediation.
- Maintain comprehensive testing documentation and ensure audit-ready evidence.
- Report progress, risks, and issues; track change requests and milestones to completion.
- Promote continuous process improvements and lead training on system functionality.
- Perform manual and automated accessibility testing; document findings and partner with teams to meet accessibility standards.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis or user acceptance testing within a technology-enabled business environment.
- Minimum of 2 years creating test plans, scenarios, and scripts from requirements and user stories.
- Minimum of 2 years executing tests and managing defects using tools such as JIRA or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across product and technology.
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards and testing (for example, ADA and WCAG) with experience executing accessibility test cases.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, change control, and audit-ready documentation practices.
- Ability to analyze production issues, perform root cause analysis, and document corrective actions.
- Proficiency in test data preparation and basic SQL or query skills for data validation.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical partners.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in home lending, mortgage servicing, or consumer banking domains.
- Experience with test management tools (for example, ALM, qTest, Zephyr) and report dashboards.
- Experience with accessibility testing tools and automation frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile environments and participating in Scrum ceremonies.
- Advanced SQL skills for complex data validation and reconciliation.
- Professional certifications such as ISTQB, CBAP, or equivalent.
- Experience leading training, peer reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
