Join our high energetic award winning exceptional Vehicle Remarketing team as a Business Operations Manager.
As a Vehicle Remarketing (VR) Auction Operations Manager, you will lead a team that is responsible for supporting the VR Auction Sales and Asset Remarketing Operations teams with various oversight, controls, and communication with various auction partners to facilitate smooth execution of Chase’s expectations. Travel may be required on a limited basis.
Job responsibilities
- Partner with auction and operations teams to design and implement process enhancements that reduce days to sell remarketing inventory and sales exceptions, addressing operational gaps end-to-end; Define and maintain operational expectations for auction sales teams, including creating, updating, and socialize standard operating procedures
- Serve as the primary owner for arbitration claims on upstream remarketing sales, issuing timely, defensible decisions aligned with auction industry standards and Chase policies
Own end-to-end governance of rate and rules tables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliant application across operational processes; Partner with stakeholders to build and maintain a control framework, including the auction field audit program, and a daily/weekly/monthly reporting cadence for operational exceptions
Collaborate with the Vehicle Vendor Management, communicates all changes to expectations, including standardized rate expectations clearly and timely
Lead the Chase Cup awards program for auction excellence, including criteria, scoring, communications, and recognition
Maintain relationships with management and internal manufacturer partners to keep their needs aligned with those of the Vehicle Remarketing Sales and Operations teams
Schedule units for sale in Aston Martin and McLaren closed auction sales
Prepare periodic updates on sales exceptions and aged inventory, highlighting risks, drivers, and actions to accelerate disposition
Act as the owner and central point of contact for assigned projects, programs, and key relationships as directed by the Vehicle Remarketing Director of Sales Operations
Develop team members through coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Minimum 5 Years experience in the automotive remarketing industry with focus on auction operations and vendor relationship management; understanding of key economic and auto industry trends and seasonality as they relate to used vehicle remarketing
Adherence to Chase Vehicle Remarketing policies, procedures, record retention guidelines and service level agreements
Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently with time constraints and competing deadlines
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and ability to quickly learn and use various technology tools
Detail oriented with expert organizational skills.
Expert in vendor and internal/external partner relationship management and navigation if difficult personal interactions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with a major consignor of used vehicles (for example, an auto manufacturer or financial institution) or an auction.
