JPMorgan Chase (JPMC) Corporate Real Estate is responsible for a worldwide occupancy portfolio of 75 million square feet across 61 countries in over 6,500 properties. This position will provide support to senior leaders within Property Management on matters related to sustainability, energy, decarbonization and strategy.

As the Sustainability Data and Technology Associate on the Global Real Estate (GRE) Sustainability team, you will provide advanced financial, energy, market, and data analysis and ownership of the team’s data and technology ecosystem to inform sustainability, energy, software, and portfolio-level strategies. You are an experienced quantitative professional who can both analyze complex datasets and help evolve the team’s data and technology capabilities over time. Responsibilities to include, but not limited to, contributing to project financial modeling, preparation of communication materials and content, interactions with GRE and other JPMC departments, GRE Suppliers and JPMC internal clients, monthly reporting, data collection, technology evaluation, AI incorporation, and solution road mapping.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, structure, and analyze large datasets related to project financial modeling, energy usage, utility costs, market trends, and decarbonization asset-level performance across sites and multiple geographies
  • Provide quantitative portfolio, market, and policy analyses related to renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy storage, resiliency, reliability, and other decarbonization strategies across the built environment
  • Lead the development, execution, and ongoing ownership of the GRE Sustainability team’s data and technology strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and evolving business needs
  • Interpret results and distill key insights and recommendations that support senior-level decision-making
  • Prepare quantitative analyses, visualizations, and written materials for presentations, reports, and summaries for senior management
  • Communicate complex analytical findings clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders
  • Own, develop, and streamline reporting that highlights progress and metrics across team activities
  • Develop standardized analytical outputs to reduce ad hoc reporting and improve consistency across the portfolio
  • Develop data-based frameworks to evaluate emerging technologies and innovative solutions
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and the standardization of analytics tools, dashboards, and automated reporting workflows
  • Ensure analytical methodologies are transparent, repeatable, and well-documented supporting data governance procedures and quality control checks

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related quantitative field
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, financial analysis, consulting, energy analytics, or a similar role
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivots, modeling) and experience with data visualization tools; working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, modeling, and budget analysis; proven ability to analyze complex datasets and develop data-driven recommendations
  • Experience developing and owning data and technology strategies (setting vision, prioritizing initiatives, driving adoption across teams)
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, implement, and improve analytical tools and workflows with a focus on scalability and standardization
  • Exposure to AI-enabled analytics, workflow automation, and decision support tools
  • Experience supporting analytics related to sustainability, energy, or decarbonization initiatives
  • Familiarity with energy markets, utilities, real estate, or infrastructure-related data; foundational knowledge of sustainability, renewable energy, and policy impacts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams; comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment with incomplete or imperfect data
