The Continental Europe Asset Management Controllers are responsible for the Financial Control of AM Legal Entities in Continental Europe from a Legal Entity perspective.
In particular, the team operates under the Global Finance Legal Entity Control Standards (JPMCB) in line with Firmwide SEC and U.S. Regulatory Financial Reporting Accountability Policy to ensure Validity and Integrity of Financial information disclosed in the Balance Sheet and Income Statement of Legal Entities under responsibility, as well as Compliance with Tax, Financial Regulatory requirements and rules in all applicable jurisdictions, and Financial Risk mitigation.
The Continental Europe Controllers team is responsible for the financial control and oversight of 2 legal entities domiciled in Luxembourg, 9 branches across Europe and 1 subsidiary and is looking for a Controller to support the team in its day-to-day activities and change agenda.
As a Legal Entity Controller in the AM Controllers’ team, you will play a central role in keeping JPMorgan Chase balance sheet strong and resilient. You will help the firm grow its business in a fiduciary way by participating in financial reporting and controlling activities. You will take part of the oversight of AM Continental Europe legal entities and be responsible for some financial reporting and control of activities.
Job responsibilities
- conduct month-end close process,
- manage parent/child accounting,
- participate in key controls such as accounts reconciliation and substantiation,
- conduct monthly analytical reviews,
- prepare financial reporting,
- optimize and streamline of recurring financial reports,
- contribute to the automation agenda,
- manage relationship with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders,
- handle ad hoc queries and providing timely and accurate responses.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or related degree,
- Previous professional experience related to audit or accounting/finance,
- Strong, clear, and concise English written and verbal communication,
- Strong organizational skills including good judgment abilities,
- Dedicated to success with emphasis on teamwork,
- Ability to take ownership and handle various queries, prioritizing tasks effectively.
