Job Summary:
As a Site Reliability Engineer III in the IP CFP AIS Orchestration team, you will solve complex business challenges with straightforward solutions. You will configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize applications and infrastructure, using code and cloud technologies to improve existing systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring end-to-end operations, availability, reliability, and scalability, while sharing your expertise and collaborating with your team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Guide and assist others in building effective designs and achieving consensus within the team
  • Collaborate with software engineers and teams to design and implement deployment strategies using automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Design, develop, test, and implement solutions for availability, reliability, and scalability in applications
  • Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for assigned applications and platforms
  • Work with technical experts, stakeholders, and team members to resolve complex issues
  • Understand service level indicators and use service level objectives to proactively address potential customer impacts
  • Support the adoption of site reliability engineering best practices within the team

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Proficient in site reliability engineering culture and principles, with experience implementing them in applications or platforms
  • Skilled in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .Net
  • Strong knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., Cloud, artificial intelligence, Android)
  • Experience with observability tools including Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, and others
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform
  • Familiarity with container and container orchestration technologies such as ECS, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • Ability to troubleshoot common networking technologies and issues
  • Effective communicator who presents information logically and compellingly with limited supervision
  • Proactive in recognizing roadblocks and eager to learn technologies that drive innovation
  • Ability to identify new technologies and solutions to meet design constraints
  • Initiative to implement ideas that solve business problems
