As a Treasury Associate – Banking in our Finance and Business Management team, you will play a vital role in optimizing balance sheet and liquidity strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to analyze funding, capital, and risk, while driving automation and process improvements. Job Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support and strategic guidance to banking leadership
  • Monitor and manage funding and liquidity impacts from banking activities
  • Lead initiatives to address capital, liquidity, and funding issues
  • Conduct profitability analysis and allocate costs to business units
  • Drive deposit modeling and analyze behavioral assumptions for risk management
  • Perform interest rate risk analysis and support risk management for banking products
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global and local regulations related to treasury management
  • Review new business initiatives and products from a treasury and balance sheet perspective
  • Contribute to automation efforts, including dashboard creation and forecasting
  • Author business and functional requirements, process maps, and user stories
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on treasury concepts and analytical frameworks

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in banking with exposure to treasury, asset and liability management, and liquidity risk management
  • Working knowledge of interest rate risk, deposit modeling, stress testing, and regulatory expectations
  • Ability to analyze liquidity and balance sheet impacts of banking products, including lending, trade finance, cash management, and deposits
  • Experience reviewing new business initiatives from a treasury perspective
  • Proficient understanding of funds transfer pricing, liquidity premium, and asset and liability management
  • Proven experience drafting business and functional requirements, defining use cases, and process documentation
  • Strong data quality and controls mindset, including reconciliation, lineage, access controls, monitoring, and alerting
  • Advanced analytical skills for complex quantitative analyses
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to present to senior management
  • Professional qualifications from reputable training institutes or professional bodies (Hong Kong requirement)

  • Experience with automation and dashboard creation
