Job Summary:
As a Program/Project Manager in the Insurance Center of Excellence, you will translate strategic objectives into executable roadmaps and lead end-to-end delivery across technology, operations, and business teams. You will drive measurable outcomes through strong governance, data-driven decision making, and disciplined execution. You will embed risk, compliance, and regulatory considerations throughout the lifecycle to enable sustainable, well-controlled change. You will foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the transformation of strategic objectives into high-impact programs and project roadmaps.
- Manage end-to-end execution across scope, milestones, budget, risks/issues, dependencies, and benefits realization.
- Provide clear, timely status reporting and executive communication to senior stakeholders.
- Embed risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Coordinate governance forums and obtain required approvals to support sustainable remediation.
- Use data and analytics to monitor progress, perform root-cause analysis, and drive sustainable solutions.
- Define and track key performance indicators and adjust plans based on leading indicators and outcomes.
- Streamline cross-functional workflows to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and control effectiveness.
- Partner with operations to align process design, controls, and service levels with delivery.
- Build, lead, and mentor teams; promote learning, innovation, and accountability.
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment, manage tradeoffs, and drive decisions across competing priorities.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of 4 years of program or project management experience delivering cross-functional initiatives.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience managing scope, schedule, budget, risks/issues, and dependencies.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate status, risks, and decisions clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Experience embedding risk, compliance, or regulatory considerations into delivery plans and outcomes.
- Proven ability to drive execution across technology, operations, and business teams.
- Strong analytical skills, including defining metrics and using data to guide decisions and corrective actions.
- Experience with structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills, including consensus building and conflict resolution.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Insurance domain experience, especially insurance operations and policy lifecycle workflows.
- Experience partnering with risk and compliance governance groups and driving control gap remediation.
- Familiarity with Agile or Lean delivery methods and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Experience coordinating testing, user acceptance testing, and end-user documentation.
- Certifications such as PMP, Agile/Scrum, SAFe, or insurance credentials (e.g., CPCU, AINS, LOMA).
- Exposure to analytics, automation, or AI/ML use cases to improve program outcomes and workflow efficiency.
