As a Grants & Business Manager in our Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) within the Corporate Responsibility Grants Management Department, you will spend each day defining, refining, and delivering portfolio support, process oversight, and regulatory reporting for grantmaking activities in India, with flexibility to support additional markets as needed. You will be responsible for partnering across the firm with the Grants Management team and global grantmaking stakeholders to strengthen controls, enable accurate reporting, and support efficient execution, while reporting to the VP of International Grants Business Management.

Job responsibilities

  • Facilitate day-to-day operations for grantmaking activity and portfolio management across Corporate Responsibility and JPMorganChase.
  • Monitor annual budgets and spend tracking across multiple JPMorganChase legal entities. Support monthly outlooking and spend forecasting activities. Submit end-to-end grant payments in internal systems, including vendor setup, payment tracking, nonprofit coordination, and internal workflow management.
  • Track payment documentation and regulatory reporting requirements for CSR grantmaking.
  • Manage unspent DDA accounts and related governance. Track balances and activity across accounts and JPMorganChase legal entities. Document account processes and maintain process overviews.
  • Partner directly with Controllers and business leads to respond to audit requests and inquiries.
  • Coordinate grant reviews, grant pipeline tracking, and cross-functional requests as the central liaison. Draft grant agreements, maintain grant records in systems, and support grant reporting/data needs.
  • Maintain document retention standards, manage process workflows, and update procedures as needed.
  • Deliver ongoing training to team members and business colleagues on grants business management processes. Coordinate quarterly financial reporting with grantees, including fund allocation and utilization tracking against agreed budgets.
  • Review grant progress reports, synthesize results, and prepare leadership briefings and portfolio review decks.
  • Create, refine, document, and review India grantmaking processes across the full grant lifecycle.
  • Advise CR leadership and team leads on budgeting, controls, and process improvements for key initiatives. Support business planning by partnering with leadership and stakeholders across CR to drive cohesive strategic planning across markets and pillars. Prepare materials and support logistics for quarterly CSR committee meetings.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience required

  • Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills; sound judgment and strong collaborative decision-making skills

  • Detailed orientated and able to learn quickly the process, complexity, and grantmaking practices

  • Fluency with JPMC financial and operational processes including payment management, reconciliation, audit, management and oversight of various financial accounts and records.

  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to forge relationships, indirectly lead and gain consensus on process improvements

  • Experience working within a global team and matrixed operations and a fast-paced environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Understanding of CSR Regulations in India or BBBEE Scorecard is preferred

  • Experience working in philanthropy, foundations, and/or nonprofit management a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative, to prioritize and accurately complete multiple tasks, and to work under deadlines and changing priorities

  • Experience working with Salesforce, Tableau, and other CRM tools a plus
