The Transformation Group is a dedicated team focused on delivering large-scale change initiatives across business units, addressing business, industry, and client requirements within the Digital & Platform Services (D&PS) organization. The Applied AI-ML for Payments group is responsible for identifying, developing, and deploying AI and Machine Learning solutions to enhance payment processes, automate manual tasks, and drive operational efficiency. The PMO manages the overall portfolio of programs and projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. We support operations champions, track progress, and communicate project status to stakeholders. The PMO defines and enforces a standard project execution lifecycle, ensures compliance with firmwide standards, and acts as the central control point for tracking and reporting progress to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Senior Program Managers to shape the strategic direction of AI-ML initiatives in Payments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional subject matter experts to identify and prioritize opportunities for AI/ML-driven process improvements and automation.
  • Define and implement program governance, including roles, responsibilities, and key activities for AI-ML projects across operations.
  • Manage the execution lifecycle and data attribute requirements for new AI/ML solutions, ensuring compliance with firmwide controls and SDLC requirements (leveraging JIRA in partnership with the implementation team).
  • Develop a deep understanding of firmwide controls standards and ensure project documentation meets compliance requirements.
  • Oversee project progress through the execution lifecycle, proactively identifying risks and assisting with issue resolution to keep initiatives on track.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all queries related to the execution lifecycle of AI-ML projects.
  • Support program governance and own key messaging to stakeholders and senior management through Steering Committees and PCCs.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management, conveying strategy, progress, and key updates.
  • Leverage business intelligence tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) to analyze and transform program data for reporting, and build program metrics and key risk indicators as required by sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Drive the automation of reporting extracts from centralized data sources to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Manage financial tracking and reporting of investments and benefits across technology and operations, ensuring productivity targets are met and forecasts are maintained.
  • Lead selected projects to continuously improve program performance and outcomes.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 4–6 years of experience in Financial Services, with at least 3 years in Program / Project Management or PMO roles.
  • Proven track record in project/change management delivery and PMO analysis within a Financial Services environment.
  • Experience managing a large portfolio of projects, maintaining momentum, and achieving targets.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including experience with large data sets and synthesizing insights for decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling storyboards and presentations for senior management.
  • Solid understanding of project lifecycle management, supporting documentation, and control requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project).
  • Experience with execution lifecycle management and data attribute requirements in JIRA.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools (Alteryx, QlikView, Tableau) to support automation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Skills in data transformation (Alteryx, SQL) and basic knowledge of Python (a plus).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to think strategically and understand the broader business context.
  • Strong risk and controls awareness.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure while maintaining accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with cross-functional, global teams and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
