Role Summary
As a member of the Regulatory Reporting Team within CIB, you are responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting for key UK regulators, managing critical financial submissions, partnering with stakeholders to resolve entity and business line issues, and promoting process transformation through technology-led improvements. The current opening is within GF&BM CIB Controllers in Mumbai, which is part of the CIB Line of Business (LOB) within GF&BM India.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing firm’s regulatory reports for Bank of England and PRA for UK-regulated entities.
- Prepare and review regulatory submissions for JP Morgan entities under UK GAAP on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Identify and execute manual workarounds to maintain completeness and accuracy in outputs and processes.
- Review monthly and quarterly variances, investigate trends, and collaborate with the Stakeholders to document business commentary.
- Partner with Regulatory Project teams and support new business initiatives, including trade flow reviews and Finance Technology UAT.
- Support Legal Entity Controllers and various business lines with performance reporting and regulatory queries.
- Drive process transformation by leveraging advanced technology solutions and partnering with strategic technology development teams to achieve sustainable process improvements.
- Engage with team members and foster positive culture within the team.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- CA or MBA with at least 3 years of experience.
- Demonstrated management skills with the ability to guide teams.
- Strong accounting knowledge with experience in Book closure and finalizing accounts.
- Strong analytical abilities and interpersonal skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with process transformation methodologies or automation solutions.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of Alteryx, Qlik Sense, Python, SQL, and ML preferred.
- Experience in financial services industry.
