As a Software Engineer III, China LLM Enablement at JPMorganChase within the China LLM Enablement team, where you will help build and support next-generation applications for our Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) and Corporate staff in China. You will focus on developing, testing, and supporting robust Python and ReactJS applications that enable secure and compliant access to global AI capabilities for our China-based users.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-quality backend services (Python/Java) and frontend applications (ReactJS) to support LLM enablement for China users.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
- Implement and optimize secure API integrations with global endpoints, ensuring compliance with local and global policies.
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to deliver features that enhance user experience and meet business needs.
- Support and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of the platform.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
- Monitor and improve application performance, scalability, and security.
- Stay updated on technology trends and regulatory requirements relevant to the China market.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 4 years+ of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong focus on Python and ReactJS.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines
- Experience developing applications on AWS (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway).
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
- Experience with modern software development practices: version control (Git), CI/CD, automated testing, and agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with Java for backend development.
- Exposure to AI/ML platforms, LLMs, or OpenAI APIs is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with AWS Bedrock is a plus.
- AWS Solution Architect Associate certification is a plus.
