Job Summary
As a Fund Accounting Operations Lead within Fund Accounting (Outsourced NAV Delivery), you oversee accurate and timely NAV delivery for clients who outsource fund accounting to JPMorgan Chase. You lead end-to-end execution across pre-NAV activities, exception resolution, and client inquiries while ensuring appropriate escalation and issue management. You drive service quality, transformation, and a strong risk-and-control culture across the team.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver timely and accurate NAVs for outsourced fund accounting clients.
- Execute end-to-end pre-NAV activities and close processes with high quality.
- Clear exceptions efficiently and ensure robust follow-through to resolution.
- Manage client inquiries and stakeholder expectations with strong service orientation.
- Escalate actual/potential delays and issues promptly to supervisors and management.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for domain and process guidance within the team.
- Act as the second escalation point and ensure disciplined incident management.
- Lead hiring, coaching, mentoring, and retention to build a strong organization.
- Strengthen risk and controls by enforcing procedures, policies, and compliance standards.
- Partner with transformation and technology teams to identify change and ensure execution.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance quality, efficiency, and consistency globally.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 12 years of relevant Banking/Investment Banking Operations experience.
- Lead teams with at least 8 years of people-management experience.
- Apply deep fund accounting/NAV domain knowledge across end-to-end operating workflows.
- Manage senior stakeholders to improve deliverables and client satisfaction outcomes.
- Navigate complex, ambiguous situations and drive practical solutions to closure.
- Embed a strong risk-and-control culture and continuously strengthen the controls environment.
- Communicate effectively to share knowledge, transfer expertise, and align global teams.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hold an MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Build sustainable relationships with institutional clients across jurisdictions and geographies.
- Lead large transformation programs with exposure to banking or capital markets change delivery.
- Assess business and financial impacts of Target Operating Model (TOM) changes.
- Anticipate customer needs and industry trends to guide operational innovation.
- Collaborate closely with business transformation partners to shape and execute change.
- Motivate and develop staff through training, performance management, and supportive leadership.
