Help keep JPMorgan Chase strong and resilient by enabling leaders who manage credit risk across Commercial Banking. In this role, you will sit at the center of strategy, execution, and day-to-day operations—turning priorities into action across multiple locations. You will lead a business management team that shapes planning, budgeting, communications, and organizational discipline. You will partner closely with stakeholders across finance, human resources, communications, analytics, and control functions to deliver outcomes that matter.

As a Senior Business Manager in Commercial Banking Credit Risk, you will act as a strategic partner to senior credit risk leaders and help run the organization end-to-end. You will lead a multi-location business management team and drive key initiatives across strategy, headcount and expense management, location and resiliency planning, and executive communications. You will bring structure to complex problems, surface risks and issues early, and coordinate solutions with cross-functional partners so we can operate effectively and responsibly.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-location business management team supporting senior Credit Risk leadership across operational and strategic priorities
  • Drive priority setting, strategic planning, and operating rhythms for leadership forums and key deliverables
  • Manage headcount and expense budgets, forecasts, and planning; partner with Planning and Analysis to track performance versus plan and explain variance drivers
  • Oversee location strategy, hiring coordination, resourcing plans, investment tracking, and efficiency opportunities
  • Develop executive communications and materials for town halls, all-hands meetings, business reviews, and other senior forums
  • Create clear, compelling content using advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and strong design judgment
  • Respond quickly to executive ad hoc requests by coordinating workstreams, removing blockers, and ensuring high-quality outputs
  • Identify emerging risks and issues, and drive resolution through strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to improve effectiveness and streamline how work gets done
  • Instill organizational discipline through adherence to policies and standards, and by maintaining procedures and documentation
  • Collaborate with analytics and reporting teams to deliver insights that support senior management decision-making and the people agenda

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 15+ years of professional experience in a Business Management or Chief of Staff role
  • Experience in financial services and credit risk management
  • Experience leading and developing multi-location teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage headcount and expense budgets, forecasting, and planning
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to explain organizational financial metrics and variance drivers
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including editing and preparing executive-level materials
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including organizing complex information into clear, executive-ready content
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities with strong time management and judgment
  • Track record of partnering effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and driving outcomes through influence
  • Experience maintaining organizational discipline through procedures, documentation, and document management practices

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience supporting senior Credit Risk leaders within Commercial Banking
  • Experience supporting credit risk organizations focused on commercial real estate and special credit situations
  • Experience leading location strategy and workforce planning initiatives
  • Experience coordinating audit, regulatory, and compliance-related deliverables in a risk environment
  • Experience building executive communications for large organizations (town halls, all-hands meetings, business reviews)
  • Experience partnering with Human Resources and Communications on talent initiatives, onboarding, and training programs
  • Experience partnering with analytics and reporting teams to translate data into senior management insights
