As a Senior Program Manager within Human Resources, you will lead the program management office for a multi-year transformation portfolio. You will drive planning, execution, governance, and stakeholder alignment across multiple workstreams, including platform modernization, data initiatives, and operational improvements. You will help ensure teams are focused on outcomes, risks are actively managed, and delivery stays aligned to timelines and budget. You will communicate progress clearly to senior leadership and help establish a culture of continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of the Pension Operations Transformation Program, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines, and budget.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, charters, and roadmaps for multiple concurrent workstreams, including system platform migration, data initiatives, and related projects.
- Lead cross-functional project meetings, facilitate decision-making, and ensure accountability among project teams and stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver regular leadership updates, including executive-level PowerPoint presentations, status reports, and risk assessments.
- Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and issues, escalating as appropriate to ensure successful delivery.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Benefits, IT, Legal, Actuarial, Data & Reporting, Service Centers, Trust, Chief Investment Office, and external vendors to name a few.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging best practices in program management, change management, and process optimization.
- Ensure all program activities adhere to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and quality standards.
- Support the Head of Pension Operations in strategic planning, resource allocation, and executive communications.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 7 years of program or project management experience leading complex transformation initiatives in retirement, benefits or financial services operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in project planning, execution, and stakeholder management across complex, multi-phase programs.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to create compelling executive presentations and facilitate meetings with diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to anticipate, identify and resolve issues proactively, with a strong focus on controls, compliance, and risk management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Collaborative, adaptable, and results-oriented, with a commitment to driving positive change and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience managing system migrations and operational change initiatives is highly desirable.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA) is a plus.
