Job summary
JPMorgan’s Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Payments Sales team continues to build strong momentum across the APAC region. As a FIG Payments Sales Associate within our dynamic sales team, you will play a crucial role in supporting Sales Managers in fostering client relationships and promoting sales.
This is a five days/week in the office, Sydney-based 12 month fixed-term parental leave cover position. The end date may vary depending on the timing of the incumbent’s return.
Job responsibilities
- Coordination of cross-functional stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment with broader firmwide interests and clients’ objectives
- Support Sales team on client pitches, proposals, and internal approval materials, including client research, industry analysis, and account planning.
- Drive KYC and AML processes, including renewals, due diligence, and remediation, ensuring timely completion and alignment with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Partner closely with Compliance, KYC, and Operations teams to manage queries, escalations, and complex issues, including transaction investigations and regulatory matters.
- Manage and monitor client portfolios to ensure delivery of agreed upon services by proactively driving follow-ups and resolving issues to maintain a strong client experience.
- Lead pricing and billing activities end-to-end, including fee and rate setup, implementation, ongoing governance, and resolution of billing discrepancies in coordination with Billing teams.
- Support the full sales lifecycle, including pipeline management, deal tracking, and reporting to ensure data integrity, timely updates and accurate revenue visibility.
- Coordinate end-to-end client onboarding and product implementations, acting as a central point of contact across Sales, Operations, Compliance, and Product to ensure timely execution.
- Understand and advise on client account structures, transaction flows, cash movements and product usage across regional and global setups.
- Perform transaction and portfolio analysis to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities, including pricing inefficiencies and optimisation areas.
- Contribute as the voice of the client in cross-functional engagements, representing client needs while aligning with broader firm objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients to support ongoing business growth and service delivery.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Strong knowledge of Payments, Trade, FX and AML/CTF.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex problems into concise conclusions.
- Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Results oriented; intention to drive and ensure all facets of the business succeed and maintain financial rigour for the team portfolio; able to work under pressure within tight timeframes.
- Aspire to develop the necessary sales and technical skills to ultimately assume a Sales role.
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
