As a Client Servicing Analyst/Associate within the Prime Financial Services team, you support APAC trading operations and Prime Brokerage margin processes for hedge fund clients across cash equities and swaps. You manage accurate trade capture and lifecycle execution while maintaining disciplined controls, exception management, and timely escalation of risk. You partner closely with trading, margin, settlements, and technology teams to resolve breaks, improve straight-through processing, and strengthen the client experience. You also serve as a key client contact for operational delivery including valuations, collateral, settlements, and reporting.

Job responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operations for trading activity across APAC markets, ensuring seamless processing, control, and accurate capture of new trading activity.
  • Complete intra-day and end-of-day controls/processes to manage exceptions and ensure timely and accurate trade processing.
  • Run and manage the full trade lifecycle including allocations, settlements, reconciliations, corporate actions, affirmations, and regulatory reporting as applicable.
  • Ensure accurate allocation of exchange, broker, and principal fills to client orders, resolving allocation and booking issues promptly.
  • Work with clients, settlements teams, and third parties to ensure timely settlement and accurate trade capture, addressing breaks/discrepancies as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve trade-related issues efficiently under time pressure, maintaining strong attention to accuracy and precision.
  • Collaborate with technology/infrastructure and functional partners to resolve processing discrepancies and implement preventative solutions.
  • Facilitate cross-organizational communication to identify, escalate, and address real-time risk issues impacting trading or client outcomes.
  • Manage the Prime Brokerage margin process for Hedge Fund clients, including issuing margin calls, performing recalculations, and monitoring portfolio risk to ensure withdrawals are within margin excess and agreed risk parameters.
  • Partner with the Margin Trading Desk to perform margin analysis, including running “what-if” scenario analyses for prospective and existing client portfolios.
  • Serve as an escalation point for high-risk margin issues and liaise with clients to clearly and professionally explain complex/technical mechanics behind margin calculations and margin calls, ensuring appropriate visibility, urgency, and resolution coordination.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in financial services operations, middle office, or trade support related roles
  • Good knowledge of cash equities trade lifecycle and core operational controls
  • Working knowledge of equity swaps and related lifecycle events (e.g., resets, cashflows, corporate actions impact)
  • Ability to manage exceptions end to end with sound judgment, accuracy, and urgency
  • Strong client communication skills, including the ability to explain technical processes clearly
  • Ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with trading systems and ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Prior experience in equities trade support, client services, or Profit and Loss (P&L) reporting
  • Fluency in any Asian language will be beneficial
