We Are Hiring
A Sr Software Engineer plays a pivotal role as part of the engineering team at Claravine, working closely with engineering leaders to lead the design and implementation of scalable backend solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions, providing mentorship to junior engineers, and contributing to architectural discussions and technical roadmap development.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement scalable backend/platform solutions using our tech stack
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement robust data solutions.
- Take ownership of backend development tasks, ensuring code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices
- Participate in and provide expertise and leadership to architectural discussions, providing valuable insights and contributing to the technical roadmap
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Work closely with engineering leaders to align engineering efforts and deliver high-quality solutions that meet international standards.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, leveraging new tools and methodologies to enhance our data management platform.
Keys to Success

- Located in Latin America and seeking a 40-hour per week independent contracting opportunity
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Significant hands-on experience in software engineering, specializing in data solutions (equivalent to approximately 6-10 years of experience)
- Advanced programming knowledge across various languages, with preference for a strong familiarity with Kotlin
- Strong preference for experience with Data Solutions: the collection, storage, management, analysis, and visualization of data to support decision-making, improve operational efficiency, or drive business growth.
- Proven track record of working with US-based companies, demonstrating strong English language proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead and mentor teams in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bonus points if you have:
- Extensive experience in the 3rd party data management space, with a deep understanding of industry best practices and standards.
- Extensive experience interfacing with 3rd party APIs (i.e., developing applications using Meta, Google APIs, or Adobe products)
- Strong proficiency in designing and implementing data pipeline and data cleansing techniques and algorithms, with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy.
- PHP (Laravel) experience
