We Are Hiring

The Mid-level Backend Engineer is responsible for contributing to the development, maintenance, and optimization of the server-side components of our platform. You will work as a member of a collaborative team, participating in various stages of the software development life cycle, from initial concepts to deployment. As a Mid-level Backend Engineer, you will have a solid grasp of databases, server-side scripting languages, application programming interfaces (APIs), and server architecture to ensure effective communication between the front-end and back-end systems.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot issues and identify areas for enhancement within data, processes, and code.
• Collaborate closely with front-end developers and cross-functional team members to define goals and craft more efficient, integrated code that elevates user experience.
• Craft code that is maintainable, testable, and can be reused across projects.
• Implement features while adhering to security best practices.
• Conduct evaluations of existing codebase to enhance performance.
• Propose and execute solutions for data storage challenges.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in backend engineering with a progressive trajectory
• Professional exposure to writing code for business applications
• A willingness to learn and tackle challenges, regardless of the technology involved
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Solid attention to detail and adept problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in backend programming languages from our tech stack
• Considerable familiarity with software development, scripting, and limited project management exposure
• Experience utilizing system monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic) and basic exposure to automated testing frameworks

The starting base salary range for this role begins at $80,000.00 annually and is commensurate upon experience.
