This is a full-time, remote position for candidates located within Melbourne, Australia.


  • Effectively communicate key product features and benefits to prospective customers virtually and in-person that drive engagement with IXL’s solutions
  • Develop a keen understanding of customer needs and values in order to provide personalized assistance throughout the sales process
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing program of new business development
  • Achieve prescribed sales targets
  • Understand and keep up-to-date with ever-changing market trends
  • Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective customers
  • Gather customer feedback to help improve and enhance product offerings
  • Promote IXL at educational technology conferences and events
  • Regular travel in territory to customer sites


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant educational sales or similar role
  • Existing networks and experience selling educational products or services within the Australian education system
  • A solid understanding of K-12 education and the educational technology market
  • Strong listening and discovery skills to gain a strategic understanding of customer’s needs and challenges
  • Passion for bringing technology into the classroom
  • Familiarity with internet-based technologies
  • Aptitude for working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to apply energy and creativity to meeting sales goals
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to both small and large groups
