In this role, you will partner with our sales and marketing teams to develop winning proposals and bids that effectively communicate IXL’s product value and foster strong district partnerships. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about IXL’s mission to impact education.
This is a full time position with a hybrid schedule of 3+ days per week in our San Mateo, CA office.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Collaborate with IXL sales, contracts, marketing, product, and curriculum teams to select bidding opportunities
- Develop compliant and compelling proposals, tailoring existing content and developing new content based on subject matter expert (SME) input for RFP opportunities for other IXL owned brands, including but not limited to Rosetta Stone, Vocabulary.com, Education.com, Wyzant, and ABCYa to ensure quality and maximize win rates
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the core IXL RFP templates for all IXL brands on an ongoing basis, and gather information and language needed for enhancements
- Ensure high-quality, error-free, and professional proposal documents
- Work with the Proposals team to assemble fully responsive proposal packages
- Maintain and update proposal content library
- Support catalog bids and other proposal tasks as needed
- Maintain communication pathways across proposals, contracts, and sales teams to ensure all stakeholders are up to date on relevant proposals initiatives
- Conduct grants and funding research for proposals and sales teams
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- BA/BS and 1+ years experience in proposals development
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented
- Quick learner who demonstrates initiative
- Energetic, mature, positive person who works well independently and with a team
- Experience with Google Applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe required
- Experience with RFPs or K-12 education field a plus
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 to $80,000 + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
