Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically savvy Sales Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will help position and sell our HPC software to organizations using parallel applications for critical scientific and engineering R&D, particularly in the nuclear energy and radiation physics markets. You will work closely with prospects and clients to demonstrate the value of leveraging edge and cloud high performance computing resources for modeling and simulation, enabling them to achieve unparalleled efficiency, cost savings, and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to identify, qualify, and close opportunities in organizations running parallel applications such as CTH, MCNP, and LAMMPS.
  • Identify prospects in sectors such as defense, energy, aerospace, and research organizations.
  • Articulate the advantages of Hoonify’s HPC solutions for edge, data center, and private cloud compared to traditional centralized supercomputing models and traditional cloud computing resources.
  • Utilize HubSpot CRM tool to track pipelines of leads and deals

Client Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with technical stakeholders, decision-makers, and procurement teams.
  • Understand customer pain points and tailor solutions to meet their specific simulation and computing needs.
  • Tailor presentations and sales materials specific to the target audience to increase engagement and understanding for their particular need.

Technical Expertise:

  • Gain a deep understanding of edge computing, HPC infrastructure, and applications like CTH and MCNP.
  • Work with the technical team to deliver compelling product demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical discussions.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Hoonify’s engineering and product teams to provide customer feedback and refine solutions.
  • Partner with Hoonify’s marketing team to generate leads and build awareness of edge computing’s role in HPC.

Market Insight & Growth:

  • Stay updated on trends in HPC, edge computing, and simulation software.
  • Contribute to business development efforts and identify new growth opportunities.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or account management, ideally in the HPC, simulation, or software industries.
  • Proven track record of selling technical solutions into organizations with complex computational requirements.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with HPC concepts, including distributed computing, simulation software (CTH, MCNP), and edge vs. centralized architectures.
  • Strong ability to understand and convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

SoD Skills:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or
  • equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in HPC or selling IT-based solutions to defense, energy, or research organizations.
  • Knowledge of edge computing technologies and their applications in simulation workloads.
  • Familiarity with cloud and hybrid computing models.
