WHAT YOU WILL DO

onX is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior App Store Optimization (ASO) Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving organic app installs and optimizing app store performance across various platforms. As an ASO Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase app visibility, drive organic traffic, and improve conversion rates across all products at onX.

As an onX Senior App Store Optimization Manager, your essential job duties and responsibilities will look like:

  • Be a key stakeholder in the organic growth of onX’s mobile products.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive ASO strategies to improve app store rankings and visibility on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android).
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify relevant keywords and phrases for app store optimization.
  • Optimize app metadata, including app titles, descriptions, keywords, and screen galleries, to improve search rankings and conversion rates, as well as to resolve any challenges with app store approvals that stem from our ASO presentation.
  • Build relationships with Apple and Google, and maximize featuring opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Creative, and Vertical Marketing, to ensure alignment with app store optimization goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze app store performance metrics, including impressions, downloads, conversion rates, and user reviews, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and algorithm changes to ensure optimal app store performance.
  • Master in App Intelligence Platforms, such as Sensor Tower, Data.ai, and/or AppTweak.
  • Conduct A/B testing and experiments to optimize app store assets and conversion funnels.
  • Understand all App Store and Google Play products, such as CPP, PPO, and Top Features.
  • Have product marketing acumen on how to merchandise and market onX apps on App Store and Google Play.
  • Work in conjunction with User Acquisition (UA) team to unlock the maximum effectiveness of ASA and ASO.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in App Store Optimization (ASO), preferably in B2C Consumer Subscription App.
  • Proven track record of driving organic app installs and improving app store rankings.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in keyword research and optimization techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

  • Permanent US work authorization is a condition of employment with onX.
  • Must be available for travel to a corporate office in Montana periodically.

WHERE YOU CAN WORK

onX has created a thriving distributed workforce community across several US locations. This position can be performed from an onX corporate office, “Basecamp,” or “Connection Hub”. Other locations will be considered on a case-by-case basis for strongly qualified candidates.

  • Corporate Offices: onX was founded in Montana with offices in Missoula and Bozeman. If you prefer to work in an office at least part of the time, this is a great option.
  • Basecamps: onX’s Basecamps are established virtual workforce communities where a sizable number of distributed team members group for work, volunteering, socializing, and adventure.
    • Our current Basecamps are located within a 90-mile radius of the following: Austin, TX; Denver, CO; Kalispell, MT; Minneapolis, MN; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; and Seattle, WA.
  • Connection Hubs: onX’s Connection Hub locations are smaller, emerging communities of distributed team members.
    • Our current Connection Hubs are located within a 60-mile radius of the following: Bay Area, CA; Boise, ID; Charleston, SC; Charlotte, NC; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Richmond, VA; Spokane, WA; and Vermont.

HOW YOU’LL BE COMPENSATED

onX is committed to compensating all employees fairly and equitably for their contributions. For this position, applicants can expect to make between $105,000 to $120,000 upon hire. The pay range will vary based on experience, skills, certifications, and education among other factors as required in the job description. In addition, full-time onX employees are eligible for a grant of common share options with a vesting schedule and a potential annual bonus of 10% based on company performance.
