Job Overview

We are actively seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our client's team in the Fintech sector. This position is ideal for someone with a deep interest in product experiences, eager to understand their impact on users. The ideal candidate thrives on collaborating with Backend engineers, product designers, product managers, and users, striving to discern their desires, needs, and the most effective solutions to develop. This individual should be capable of delivering high-quality work independently and learn from mistakes to continually grow in their role. The position is based in New York City

Responsibilities

  • Participate in critical, technical, and product discussions with leaders across our engineering, product and business teams
  • Architect scalable and maintainable web applications, ensuring responsiveness and cross-platform compatibility.
  • Have a strong eye for the operational aspects of the platform such as deployment, performance tuning and monitoring
  • Keep technical debt low by reinforcing our Engineering culture of code reviews, solid test coverage, and documentation
  • Balance short-term execution with longer-term concerns such as extensibility and reusability.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Proven experience in TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Node
  • Deep understanding of usability issues in web applications
  • Experience building products at scale that actively take customer feedback into account
  • Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components, including appropriate testing
  • Experience mentoring, guiding, and coaching team members and a passion for learning and sharing what you’ve learned with others
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be a team player and work well in a team environment.
  • Comfortable coming in-office 3 times a week

Additional Information

Compensation: The base salary offered is up to $225,000, with additional yearly equity and performance-based bonuses included in the total compensation package.
