As the Manager, Mission Advancement, you’ll lead impactful programs that foster inclusion, empower communities, and secure sustainable funding. This role is perfect for a dynamic leader who thrives on building meaningful relationships, managing community programs, and driving fundraising efforts that fuel our life-changing mission.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and manage volunteer-led programs, including training and supporting school, corporate, and community chapter leaders.
- Organize and lead engaging training events such as Leadership Training Days and Ambassador Trainings to inspire program participants and volunteers.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including major events, individual giving, and foundation grants to meet annual revenue goals.
- Build relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners, ensuring long-term engagement and support for the organization.
- Expand program reach by identifying and onboarding new schools, corporate partners, and community organizations.
- Oversee local marketing efforts, including social media, newsletters, and public speaking engagements, to raise awareness and strengthen the organization's presence.
- Maintain accurate records of program participation, fundraising activities, and donor interactions using established database tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 2-4 years of experience in fundraising, program management, or volunteer coordination preferred.
- Proven track record in planning and executing special events and cultivating donor relationships.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to inspire and engage diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raisers Edge).
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Comfortable working with and advocating for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
