About The Role

We’re looking for a high-energy, curious, and coachable Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our fast-growing team. This role is perfect for someone who is is hungry to succeed in B2B SaaS sales and is excited about joining an early stage tech startup.

As an SDR at SquarePeg, you’ll be the first point of contact with potential customers. Your job is to understand their pain points, spark interest in our platform, and set up qualified meetings for our team. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product to experiment, iterate, and continuously improve our go-to-market motion.

What You’ll Do

  • Research target accounts and identify key decision-makers
  • Write thoughtful outbound emails and craft messages that actually get responses
  • Make cold calls that get people excited about trying an AI product in their recruiting tech stack
  • Book qualified meetings for the sales team and help move deals into the pipeline
  • Track and manage outreach in Hubspot
  • Run quick discovery calls and ask the right questions to uncover pain
  • Collaborate with team to optimize hand-offs and improve conversion
  • Provide feedback to marketing and product on what prospects are saying

Who You Are

  • Hungry, gritty, and persistent
  • 1-3 years in a B2B sales, recruiting, or customer-facing role
  • Excellent communicator—written, verbal, and especially via email
  • Comfortable cold calling and handling objections with professionalism
  • Highly organized, persistent, and self-motivated
  • Curious about AI, startups, and how teams build better hiring systems
  • Bonus: Experience selling to HR, People, or Talent teams
  • Bonus: Familiarity with outbound tools like Apollo, Salesloft, or Clay
