To achieve this, we are looking for a Customer Success Project Manager who will play a pivotal role in managing and executing customer-centric projects to drive long-term success for both our customers and our company.
The Customer Success Project Manager leads strategic customer projects where new software is implemented from kick-off through project completion. This role will partner with Customer Success team leaders and individual contributors to drive strategic customer retention and expansion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of optimizing processes and interactions with customers and internal teams for company success.
This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Manager of Customer Success Project Management.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Plan, execute, and oversee client projects aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and maximizing the value of our products/services.
- Support presale SOW documentation, post-sale kick-off, and run continuous and/or time-bound programs within and beyond the CS organization by clarifying priorities, enabling the execution of deliverables, defining program process flows, and providing continuous transparency for and about the customer
- Define the concept, build a viable business case, develop an execution plan, and follow through with value realization of each of the customer initiatives
- Develop detailed project plans and timelines to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide all stakeholders, including Customer Success and Executive leadership, regular updates on strategic customers to identify risks and opportunities, and resolve internal dependencies
- Take a hands-on and proactive approach to progress initiatives, introduce efficiencies, and facilitate workflow solutions
- Identify trends and translate them into solutions for customers
- Assign internal and external ownership of project plan elements and expectations on communication
- Escalate any risk, opportunity, or issue from the project plan to CS leadership, including the VP of CS, upon discovery
- Manage daily/weekly standups for active projects with external and internal teams
Skills & Experience We Hope You Bring:
- 3+ years of Project Management experience
- 3+ years of experience acting as the primary point of contact for managing and resolving client issues
- Demonstrated experience managing external client projects
- Strong leadership skills; ability to influence without full authority for internal partnerships and tactical resolutions
- Experience with software development lifecycles, including Agile / Scrum
- Open, growth mindset with a high degree of self-motivation, fostered in a fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic environment
- Analytical and data-driven in developing effective solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organization and planning skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- High level of emotional intelligence when dealing with difficult situations EG strong ability to read a room
- Expert in MS Excel and other project planning tools
- Commitment to Submittable’s company-wide objectives and key initiatives
- PMI Credits, PMP, or other Project Management certifications and courses preferred
Salary Details: The annual salary range for this position is $102,000-$120,000. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
Position Location: This role will be located in Bellevue, WA, or, Missoula, MT following a hybrid work model. Employees are expected to be willing to work from one of our office locations twice a week or as needed by your team.
