About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong backend focus to join our team at Trust Lab. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining scalable backend systems while also having the opportunity to contribute to frontend development when needed.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge backend technologies while also contributing to modern frontend applications when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that process internal and customer data.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of backend systems.
- Implement cloud-based solutions using AWS (or similar cloud platforms).
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, actively participating in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing systems to enhance performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar).
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Experience with AWS technologies.
- Proficiency with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and event-driven/asynchronous processing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in remote, distributed teams.
Preferred skills
- Experience or passion for Trust & Safety and content moderation.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Frontend experience with React and TypeScript
- Knowledge of serverless computing.
